Where it all happened..

The Easter-bunny is waving his goodbyes.....he did a fine job..we found all the eggs..
..and when we happened to find a real one..we heard him shout..
                                                 ..Don't touch  it...

“In the garden there was nothing which was not quite like themselves - nothing which did not understand the wonderfulness of what was happening to them - the immense, tender, terrible, heart-breaking beauty and solemnity of Eggs. If there had been one person in that garden who had not known through all his or her innermost being that if an Egg were taken away or hurt the whole world would whirl round and crash through space and come to an end... there could have been no happiness even in that golden springtime air.”

― Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

Dearest, what an exciting new way to look at an egg....thank you for sharing this wonderful excerpt. I was watching a duck hatch from an egg yesterday, and it was wondrous. It made me think of our souls, breaking free from this shell in which we struggle.

A few more cracks in my "egg" will be coming soon: my birthday. Every year, another crack happens, bringing each of us closer to our real selves.
